Location: Fosshotel Nesbúð, Iceland
Known for its diverse fauna and flora, hot springs,
lakes and rivers, Nesjavellir/Mt. Hengill is one of Iceland’s
main scenic nature sites, located only 25 km away from
Reykjavík.
Hot steam from open craters, bubbling hot springs and dramatic
landscape make this area unique. There are over 160 km of marked
walking trails, ideal for light trekking and mountain biking if you
want to extend your stay. Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss
and Geysir as well as the fjordlandscapes of Hvalfjörður are
ideal for day excursions.
