Biography

Research Interests: My current research field is atmospheric chemistry; in particular I have been involved in different experimental projects about the reactions of some of the most important atmospheric oxidants: NO3, OH and Cl with different pollutants (aldehydes, heterocycles and ketones). Moreover, I have studied in depth the atmospheric photochemistry of some ketones.

I have a wide experience in the detection of different radicals and pollutants with LIF (Laser Induced Fluorescence), multipass absorption, gas chromatography and PTFMS (photoionization time of flight mass spectrometry). Additionally, I am an expert in techniques for kinetic and product studies (flow tube, flash photolysis and chamber reactors).

I want to highlight that I have characterized and optimized in the last year a new experimental system very promising for aerosol studies.

In my current position I am studying experimentally SOA (Secondary Organic Aerosol) formation, ozone-soot interactions using the environmental chamber and the ATFMS (Aerosol Time of Flight Mass Spectrometer), nucleation processes (formation of iodine clusters) and uptake coefficient of HO2
